going out of my mind with worry

Hi, I had a potential exposure 16 months ago. I tested negative at 4 week, 12 weeks, 12 months – all UK lab tests and biosure test 14 months. However, i keep getting fungal infections on penis, mouth and face (fungal spots – they won’t go away!). Im also having night sweats and have aches and pains all over my body; and twitching.I’ve read that some people don’t create antibodies that can’t be detected??Is this true? Several reported cases on internet? I am aware of the window period etc….but has there been recorded cases of this. Please help, I’m going out of my mind with worry.

Hi worried sick 2, from all the tests that have been conducted it is virtually impossible that they would all be incorrect. There are very few cases (I think 2 or 3 globally) where an individual has HIV and does not produce sufficient antibodies. I understand this is easier said than done however the best thing for you to do now is accept your negative status and move on from the incident. I would like to recommend you going to see your GP regarding your symptoms as they will be able to refer you and get them treated. We all have many worries in our lives and HIV is not one of yours. I hope this helps put your mind at rest Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
