I had an incident 5 months ago

I had an incident 5 months ago i was having sex with a female escort the condom broke I was worried and scared that she might had something.I got my self tested 3 months after my exposure it came back negative and I took another test again 4 months and 5 months after my exposure I did a rapid test came back negative. Does that mean I am pretty much HIV negative after 5 months coming back negative???

Hi Worried ness, It depends on the type of tests that you used due to the window period. I would say that a result after 5 months would be conclusive as usually after 12 weeks any test is conclusive, and the fact that you have performed three tests and all three results were conclusive would conclude that you are HIV negative. If you want to be sure, I would recommend getting in contact with the manufacture of the tests that you performed to ask about the window period of their tests. If you used a BioSure HIV self-test then any result after 12 weeks is conclusive. I hope this information helps, if you have any other queries please feel free to leave them below. Kindest regards, Becky BioSURE UK LTD
