Hi Alsadiq Thanks for getting in touch. The chances of contracting HIV from an HIV positive partner following any form of heterosexual insertive vaginal sex are very slim, about 1 in 2,000. The symptoms associated with early HIV symptoms cannot start until at least 2 weeks post infection. So it is unlikely that the symptoms described were due to HIV infection. Once you have had symptoms for about a week an HIV test should be positive. So your negative test at 6 weeks is very encouraging but unfortunately you can't consider it to be conclusive.
