Testworries

I recently took the test and it came back negative, which was great. But I’ve recently been having some anxiety over the fact that I didn’t wash my hands before the test. It says to wash hands in the online instructions. Will not washing hands have any effect on the test outcome?
Thanks

Hi Danny, No interference would have occurred during or after the course of antibiotics, just want to reassure you. Your result at 108 days is reliable and you do not need to retest. All the best, Becky

Hi Becky So is it reliable or conclusive? I had been on antibiotics for 6 weeks.

Hi Danny, The only medication that can prolong antibody production and therefore possibly cause a false negative result is antiretrovirals, like PrEP and PEP. Antibiotics will have no affect on the result of the test. Your negative result at 108 days is very reliable. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, Becky

Will any type of Medication effect the results as I’m really worried as I was on antibiotics for Prostatis at the time of the test. I took a another bio sure test at 108 days 28 days after finishing my antibiotics, is this conclusive or do I need to wait 12 weeks after finishing antibiotics?

Hi Anxious1, We recommend to wash your hands before performing your test but it is not necessary. Not washing your hands before will have no affect on the test result itself. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, Becky
