Hi Panic pqnic Thanks for getting in touch. The tests that you have done are all extremely encouraging. The BioSURE HIV Self Test works by detecting antibodies to HIV. If your illness was due to recent HIV infection and as your symptoms have lasted for 5 weeks then your BioSURE HIV self test would have provided a positive result. As I said your series of negative test results is extremely encouraging. However, there is no guarantee that your illness is due to HIV to make absolutely sure of your HIV status we would recommend testing again 12 weeks post possible HIV exposure. I hope that this answer hasn't added more confusion. If you need any additional information please don't hesitate to contact me again. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
