Test Result

I took the BioSure HIV Test and the result was negative. One line only appeared and it was totally visible. However the color behind it was not clear white. It was like faded purple in a part and also i think that the blood i took from my hand was slightly less than required i am not sure. Does those factors affect my test result or not?

Hi Lidis Sometimes if you haven't pushed the test device fully to the bottom of the buffer pot this can sometimes happen, and the background of the test strip does not fully clear. As long as you can clearly see the Control Line - then your test result is valid. You only need a very small sample of blood to make the test work so it is very unlikely that you did not have enough sample. I do not believe that either of the things mentioned will have affected your result. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
