Test doubt
Hi all,
please confirm that the BIOSURE test is the same of CHEMBIO as per the following link:
https://globenewswire.com/news-release/2015/04/29/729966/10131421/en/Chembio-Launches-HIV-Self-Testing-Initiative-in-Europe.html
I made the Mylan test (negative) and it seems to be the same test too.
Thank you.

HI MLN
Sorry for not coming back to you sooner on this.
The reliability of the device should be the same as long as the test has been performed correctly.
I hope that this helps.
Kind regards
Gary

It's true, your support is of top level, i think this is fundamental for this type of test. I was worried about chemical components, the doses. But they are the same, so the reliability is exactly the same, is it?
Thank you, this is the last question, I promise.

Hi MLN Test
The test
devices are indeed the same and operate in the same way. Both devices have control lines that will only trigger if you apply enough of the right sample (blood) and buffer onto the device.
The test
kits are very different. The BioSURE HIV Self Test incorporates a very different set of instructions for use that have been developed specifically for self testing.
And we provide much better customer support!
I don't think that you have anything to worry about with the result of your test.
Kind regards
Gary

Thank you Gary,
What do you mean "the test kits are very different"?
I am worried about the control line, I feel very safe when you say that it is calibrated to react only with enough specimen and reagents... is It the same for Mylan test? Thank you.

Hi MIn Test
Thanks for getting in touch.
The test device is the same in both the BioSURE HIV Self Test and the Mylan test. However, the test kits are very different. The BioSURE HIV Self Test is manufactured by BioSure (UK) Limited under our CE mark specifically for HIV Self Testing.
So you should get the same result whether you tested with the BioSURE HIV Self Test or the Mylan test.
I hope that this answers your question.
Kind regards
Gary Carpenter
