Question about testing

I got a negative test outside the window period but I don’t think I disinfected my finger before taking the blood sample. Would this matter? Should I do another test?

Dear Aaaaa Thank you for contacting us. We simply suggest that you wash your hands prior to testing for the purposes of personal hygiene, not to have any affect on the test result. So your negative result will be unaffected. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
