Negative at 12 weeks with symptoms

Hi, I had a very low risk exposure in May this year. 25 days later I had a test done in the local GUM clinic which was negative. Since then I have had two Biosure tests at 11 and 12 weeks both negative. My problem is I have since noticed at least 5 small rubbery lymph nodes around my neck and some discomfort in my armpits. I also had a swollen lymph node in front of my ear when I did my 2nd Biosure test. My questions are 1) Are these symptoms suggestive of HIV? 2) Should I do any more tests?

Hi Worried1. Firstly I would like to thank you for choosing BioSure and I hope you found our test easy to use. The symptoms you are describing are much more likely to be caused by something other than HIV. For some people accepting a negative result is just as hard as accepting a positive one. I would recommend against testing again, unless you are exposed again, as this will only prolong your acceptance of the negative result. I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to contact my further. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
