Does taking any antidepressants such as mirtazapine affect the test result?

Hi worriedchick, Sorry for the late response - I could not see your post in the thread. Mirtazaprine and other antidepressants will have no effect on the result of the test. A negative result at 12 weeks post exposure will be reliable and conclusive and you would not need to retest. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, Becky

Message from PEBL: Hi Worriedchick - if you put the word "antidepressant" into the search box at the top of the page you will find some previous discussion about medication and testing that we think you might find interesting and reassuring. At PEBL we don't have any professional knowledge about meds and the HIV test, but we're sure that someone who does will post an answer to your question soon. With best wishes from PEBL Feedback

I was trying to be all cool yesterday when I asked if antidepressants such as mirtazapine would affect the test result but am really, really anxious so please, please respond. When I test, I want it to be conclusive and not have to worry any more.
