Lancet worry

Hi used the biosure lancet and after the test was done the pink bit came off and the knife/’needle was showing. My friend picked it up and scratched himself. Is he in danger of now contracting the virus?

Hi worried004, Our lancet is single use and the needle should not be exposed. If you still have the broken lancet, would you be able to send over a picture so I can assess the damage and investigate as to why or how it has been broken? Please send the photo, if possible, to bsmith@biosure.co.uk. If your result has come back as negative, your friend is not at risk of HIV infection and subsequently there is nothing to worry about.
