I think I've made a mistake

Hi, I used the hiv bio sure test yesterday, I think I’ve made a mistake with the test the result did come back negative.
After 3/4 minutes I lay the test down for the rest of the 15 minutes. It still gave me a negative result.
Is this accurate?
Or should I have left it stood up?

Hi Sam777 Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, this is normal. It happens on about 10% of the tests run. It usually occurs after the 15 minute read time but not always. The blood in your sample will gradually run up the strip and tends to congregate at the top of the foam pad and "bleeds" on to the strip. This is not to be confused with a test line. I hope that this answers your question. Kind regards Gary

Hi Gary,  My negative line is very clear but the bottom of the test appears pinky a bit like how the blood moved up the strip  - is this normal?

Hi Arb Your test result is still accurate. The test is very robust to minor differences in performance of the steps. The upper line(the control line) will only trigger if the test has been performed correctly. I hope that answers your question. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Ltd
