I had unprotected sex

I had unprotected sex on 12th september,2019
There was so much friction. I started having night sweats two days after, I had a flu 3 weeks after which lasted for about 3 days, I had a chronic itch after 2 weeks which is still on and off. i feel fatigued with lots of headaches these days.It’s been 8 weeks.my partner had a negative antibody test at 7 weeks and has no symptoms. i am still scared to test. Am i positive?

Hi Juju, I would say that if your partner has tested negative with an antibody test then this is extremely encouraging. With the BioSure HIV self test you will need to retest at 12 weeks due to only looking for antibodies, however I'm sure you know this as your partners test would have used the same technology. Going forward I would recommend having protected sex until you and your partner know your status. I hope this helps but please don't hesitate to contact me further.
