I am still so worried

I have done a biosure test at 3 months and got negative result but wanted to still get this assured from doctors so did one at 4 months (last friday) and received negative results today. But I am still so worried as I have pain in my groin, burning hands, forearms , legs and feet and also feel short of breath and feel weaker in upper body. I have also been reading that it can take up to 6 months to detect HIV?? Can anyone offer me advice please

Hi Confused Man, after 12 weeks the BioSURE HIV self test is conclusive. Our test looks for antibodies for HIV rather than the virus itself. Both of your negative results are conclusive given the time you tested after your exposure. I would recommend trying to put the incident behind you and moving on with your life knowing your status. You have done the right thing by testing but now you need to accept your negative result. I hope this has helped put your mind at rest and you can now go forward making informed choices. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
