Ive never been tested for hiv; I always thought I should get tested just in case but never had the guts to go through with it. The anxiety of the wait was always something that worried me, ridiculous I know but even the two day wait for the test to arrive I nearly lost my mind. I’ve recently found out I was pregnant which largely drove my decision to get tested. A blood test is done later in pregnancy but I wanted to know as soon as possible to take the right steps and know where I stand. I must admit through my panic I did alot of research on hiv and it’s amazing how much things have come on in recent years. My test was negative. I’m so glad self test like this exists I don’t think I’d of had the guts to get checked otherwise.
