Floaters

Biosure test at 13 weeks. When I looked there appeared to be a floater/blur/ particle ( not sure what it was). This seemed to move up /down/ across the test strip. Not sure if it was my mind or the lighting.

I checked the test a few hours later and also the next day in daylight it was not there. Is this reliable a negative?

Hi Floater Thanks for getting in touch again. As noted previously the issue you describe has never been reported to us or observed by us in any of the extensive testing that has been done to prove the safety of the BioSURE HIV Self Test. So it is very difficult to suggest what it is that you may have seen. If you have a photograph of what you saw that would help a lot. The lines can only appear as coloured lines. If there is not a solid obviously visible second line then your test result is definitely negative. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited

I forgot to mention there was only one solid line (top line) across the test strip from side to side. The floater was just clear did not have any colour. Please provide some clarity on what would be the cause of this?

Hi Floater Thanks for getting in touch. This is not something we have seen or had reported previously. If you have looked at the test later and the thing you saw has gone but the one line remained then you have a reliable negative result. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
