Finger cleaning

Hello,
before pricking the finger for sampling I cleaned it with a “PIC antiseptic swab” containing didecyldimethylammonium chloride.
Is this suitable for sampling or can It cause hemolysis?
Anyway, could I have invalidated my negative test?
Thank you.

Hi Anthony, It is not necessary to clean your finger before using the test but regardless, it will have no affect on your result. Your negative test result is still valid. Kindest regards, Becky
