Faint line hours after testing

I’m 18 months since last exposure.I need to find what caused the faint line on my Biobsure test hours after testing. Over night in fact. I tested and it was negative at 15 and 40 minutes and also I think after 3 hours when i checked it was negative but following day when I check in the bin I saw a very faint line and I panicked and bought 3 more tests and they were all negative and this time I threw all of them away after an hour.

What I need to know is can I trust test even though it showed a faint line over night, am I safe or should I go do a lab test?

Hi Naomi. Although the BioSURE HIV self test is extremely stable (result doesn't really change over time) we have a read time of an hour, this means that the test should not be read after an hour as there is a small possibility the result might change. I must say in all the tests I have performed, my result has never changed however sometimes the blood and buffer solution does settle right at the bottom of the strip. The negative tests you have performed are conclusive and there is no need to re-test. I hope this makes sense and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
