Faint double line
Hi, I did a BioSure test today and at 15 minutes there was just one Control line. For whatever reason I had another look at it 2 hours later and I could make out 2 very very faint lines close to each other where the test line would be – should I be concerned as I may not have noticed the faint double lines after 15 minutes?

Hi Jay_32,
If you were to have been infected in November 2020 and have tested negative outside of the window period, this suggests that no transmission occurred as no antibodies were detected. The faint double line visible hours after performing your test is unreliable and inaccurate given the read time. As mentioned before, if the only line visible at the 15 minutes was the control line then your result is negative. Hope this helps. All the best, Becky

Hi Becky thanks for replying.
I took the test due to a possible exposure in November '20. I know that results are only accurate when the test is after 12 weeks from exposure, but could the faint double line that I noticed after a couple of hours be due to an exposure within 12 weeks from taking the test (hope that makes sense)?

Hi Jay_32,
You should not read your result 1 hour after performing your test. If the only line visible at the 15 minutes was the control line then your result is negative and you can dispose of your test. If you were to have been infected and antibodies were present in your blood, a test line would have been visible by the 15 minutes read time. I hope this helps. All the best, Becky
