Elite controllers

Hi
I have recently been reading a study about Elite Controllers and that rapid tests may give a negative result even when the user is in fact positive (i.e. a false negative result). Is this true with regards to Biosure ?

Also does the Biosure test pick up all subtypes groups Etc ?

Hi Angels Thanks for getting touch. The BioSURE HIV Self Test would be positive for someone that was an 'elite' controller. elite controllers are thought to control the virus through antibody production, and as the BioSURE HIV Self Test detects antibodies rather than the virus itself then this would result in a positive test result.
