Did I perfom the test right?

Hey guys,

today i made the HIV self test and had problems with performing. I do all steps how they were explained in the introduction but after 3 minutes the test was’t running (there was no blood running in the area where are the lines should appear after 15 minutes). So I was waiting two more minutes and nothing happend. Due to this reason I thought I used to less blood for the tip so that I loaded the tip with blood a second time and pushed it in the bottom of the buffer pot again. After that my test worked and after 3 minutes the control line appared, after 15 minutes nothing changed (no second line). My question: Is my test valid?. Sorry for my English

Hi Arbor Thank you for contacting us. Firstly the test is very forgiving for slight anomalies in performing the steps. We have tested a number of possible failure types. Including stopping the process and adding more sample as you describe. As long a s you got the control to appear then you can be confident that the test was performed correctly. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Gary Carpenter Head of Clinical & Regulatory Affairs BioSure (UK) Limited
