disposal of test in bin

I just want to confirm that the test does not contain any HIV virus that could harm anyone if they came into contact with the used test. After testing, I did not put the test back into the packaging but all of it, the test itself still poked into the buffer pot and everything else into a bin liner and into my house bin. Was this safe? I tested negative.

Hi worriedchick02, There is no live virus or anything else harmful within the test that can cause infection - you are fine to dispose of the test in your household waste. I hope this helps. Kindest regards, Becky
