Could my saliva affect the test?

Hi,
I had a negative test only with the control line.
My doubt is I sucked the first drop of blood and used the second one for my test, maybe this second drop came into contact with some saliva.
Could my saliva affect the test by damagin antibodies of my blood?

Hi Lux85 Saliva contains nothing that can affect the antibodies that are in your blood that the test looks for. Therefore, sucking away the first drop of blood cannot affect the result. This is a proven fact. Kind regards Gary

Thank you, I know saliva also contains antibodies, is this the reason? Sorry for my anxiety, can you explain why it does not affect? It has been prooved? Thank you again to be patient.

Hi Lux85 Good news is that there is no long explanation required for this question. Saliva will not affect the result. I hope that this answers your question. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
