As a gay guy in his early fifties, with a rather colourful sex life over the years. Having sex not always using condoms, with other guys, sometimes not even knowing their name.
I had been thinking about my HIV status for some time, but didn’t have the confidence to go to a clinic. I took the test at home and was surprised that I didn’t have a sense of dread at all as to what the result was going to be. It was negative, and put my mind at rest, considering it had been a number of years since I had last been tested.
