Am I really negative?

Hi

Over the last year or so my anxiety has been up and down month on month.

I’ve been tests (4th Gen) at 4, 6 & 11.5 weeks through a local NHS clinic which all returned negative. To try and put my mind at rest I then performed a home test using Biosure at 94 days, this was also negative and so have tried to move on with my life.

This has now been 7 months since possible exposure and myself and girlfriend have developed oral thrush (diagnosed by GP) which we’re struggling to clear and seems persistent. I’ve taken 3 additional Biosure tests in the last 2 weeks which have all returned negative. How confident can I be about my negative status?

Hi WorriedMonthsLater. I am unable to comment on the other tests carried out however can comment on the BioSURE test. The BioSURE HIV self test is extremely accurate and reliable. The chances of one test giving you a false negative is very low, 4 is virtually impossible. You can rely on your negative result and safely say HIV is not the cause of your girlfriends symptoms. If you have any other worries I would recommend visiting your GP or a GUM clinic to get a full health check. I hope this helps and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
