Biosure test

Does this test cover all types of HIV? My possible exposure was from someone originating from Africa which I believe has higher rates of HIV 2. I tested negative outside the window period so just want to check, thanks.

No, you shouldn't be concerned. A negative test result after the window period has elapsed is very reliable.

Thanks for your reply Gary. So I shouldn't still be concerned?

Hi Xxxxx The test detects HIV-1 and HIV-2, and all major subtypes. I hope that this helps to put your mind at rest. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
