2 Negative Tests

Hello,

I just took a test, waited 15 minutes and it is negative. I took one approximately 1 year ago and it was also negative.

The first test I took was 3 years after exposure, and this second one I have taken is 7 months after exposure, however the person I slept with 7 months ago took a HIV test back then and was negative.

I seem to have this anxiety that I might have it whenever I get something wrong with me. I had pain in my left armpit, unsure if it was a swollen lymph node, there was no lump but it was painful and tender to touch, so I ordered this test to check as google stated HIV may be a cause along with cancer and other things

As my first test was 3 years after exposure and my second is 7 months after exposure, can I be 100% confident in this test?

Hi Anxious Betty, You can be extremely confident in your results. A negative result 3 months post-exposure using a BioSure test is reliable and conclusive (you do not need to retest). Anxiety associated with HIV infection is common, given that HIV is not yet curable, however, it is treatable and someone with HIV (who is on treatment) can now live a normal and relatively healthy life if diagnosed early on. Your negative results are accurate and you can try to put this behind you and move on. I hope this helps, if you have any other queries, please feel free to leave them below. Kindest regards, Becky

Never mind. I decided to take a lab test as my anxiety was crippling and everything came back negative. So both my biosure tests were correct indeed. Thank you!
