Testing more than once... should I?

Hey, I am such a worrier and just wanted to ask for a bit of peace of mind… I took a test 11 months post unprotected sex and it came back negative, but have seen lots of posts about testing more than once… should I?

Hi Worriedmale! A negative test result 12 weeks post possible exposure is a conclusive result. The symptoms you are describing are much more likely to be caused by something other than HIV. You have also had a very low risk exposure but have done the correct thing by testing. I hope this helps put your mind at rest and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd

Negative biosure result at 6 and 12 weeks, however I have a sore throat that has come and gone for past 12 weeks and muscle pain in legs and neck. Should I be worried as had unprotected oral with female escort 12 weeks prior to my 12 week negative biosure test result?

Hi worrier! A negative test result 12 weeks post possible exposure is reliable. You have waited 11 months before testing therefore there is no need to test again and your result is negative. I believe re-testing will prolong your acceptance of the negative result. I hope this helps and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
