Hi, I have experienced low fever of 37.5 to 37.8 in nearly 1 week, not constant. Three days ago I started to get numb and slightly pirking on my face. I took a INSTI HIV SELFTEST (23.02) yesterday and a BIO SURE SELFTEST today (24.02) (68days) Almost 10 weeks since exposure. Do you think that one of the two tests would have reacted if I am infected with HIV? I'm going to take a test about 2uker to be 100% sure, but right now I'm pretty far down off fear :(
Question about negativa test on 08th February 2017
Hi! I have a question about the test and if you can trust it. I am to scared too go to hospital and take a hiv test and waite a whole week for answer. It is 1,5 years since My exposure have not been sexual active for 1,5 years. So my question is if i can trust this negative test or if i have to drag myself to a clinic and test there to be sure? Or Can i trust this?

Dear Scared
Thanks for getting in touch.
The BioSURE HIV Self Test is extremely accurate, in clinical studies the number of incorrect results have been incredibly small, much less than 1 in 1,000. So statistically there really is no reason for you to test again. However, if you still feel anxious about your HIV status the next step would be to visit either your local sexual health clinic, your GP or one of the very many 3rd sector HIV testing organisations.
I hope that this helps to put your mind at ease.
Kind regards
