What are the chances of a manufacturers fault?

What are the chances of a manufacturers fault?

I tested a year after my possible exposure. I cannot accept that I am negative and keep wondering why I got a negative result.

A ran the test and within 3 min the control line showed. I waited till 6 min and only the control line. Someone came into my room and I hid the test away. It was sideways for 1 minute (after the control line exposed). Could this affect it.

1 hour later still only 1 line.

Is there quality assurance when manufacturing the device. How do you know the test strip was correctly manufactured as the line is not visible to human eye.

Hi Scared Safrican. The chances of there being a manufacture fault are extremely low (virtually impossible). Your test result with the BioSURE HIV self test 1 year post exposure is conclusive. Moving/hiding your test would not affect your end result. Our control line can only appear if your test has worked as it should and sufficient blood has been provided, this is to ensure the user knows their result is reliable and can be trusted. I hope this helps put your mind at rest. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd

I couldn’t wait for a reply and went to a clinic for another test. This was also confirmed negative.
