Was it a legitimate test?

I recently bought your HIV self-test from Dischem here in South Africa and I received a negative result (8 months after exposure).
I however was reading on google that a CE marked test would have the code 0086 on it however I couldn’t find that code on the kit i used. Now I am worrying that the kit wasn’t a real biosure one! Are there strict protocols that are in place with your supply to Dischem? Im so scared that I bought a fake test.
Your help would be really appreciated because I really don’t want to test again…

Hi Worried20, The previous CE marking was '0086' but this has recently changed to '2797' because of Brexit. If your order was purchased from a Dischem store, you can be assured that your test is legitimate and accurate. Your negative result 8 months post exposure is accurate and conclusive which means that you do not need to retest. I hope this helps! Kindest regards, Becky
