Testing worry
I have taken 3 tests 1 about 60 days after possible exposure another one at 100 days and another one at about 200 days all came up negitives with one clear line. I know it’s 99.9 percent accurate if you don’t have to get the correct result. Would you says the 3 tests are conclusive. I don’t know why I am struggling to accept the negative result. When 3 tests have said so 2 of which are well without the window. And my encounter was relatively minor think I just need confirmation from someone who works with the tests and all is good.

Hi Questions,
The BioSURE HIV self test works as a finger prick blood test. If someone was to be infected with HIV, antibodies would be present in their bloodstream which is distributed the same all around the body. It does not matter where you collect the blood sample from but the ease of collecting the sample from a simple finger prick is shown to be effective at detecting HIV antibodies in the blood. Tests performed at the clinics etc. are usually taken from venous blood as the sample volume required is larger than the small drop of blood that is needed to perform our self test. Kindest regards, Becky

Hi Wguy,
The fact that you have tested 3 times, twice well outside of the window period is enough for certain to conclude that you are HIV negative. If your exposure was relatively low to begin with, you should try to move on and put this behind you. The chance of you receiving 2 false negatives when testing outside of the window period is very low and usually only false -ve results occur when users are testing inside of the window period due to the production of antibodies. I hope this information helps. Kindest regards, Becky

Hi. How possible is it to have antibodies on your blood but not on the sample extracted from the finger I have seen some studies saying blood from the vein is the most effective.
