Some question about Biosure Kit

Hi there,
I was wondering if Biosure HIV Test Kit can detect all subspecies of HIV like HIV1 and HIV2. If the result is negative, it means I am not infected by any subspecies of HIV, right?
And have the Safety Lancet and everything else in the Kit been disinfected so that it’s absolutely safe to use it?
Thanks for answering.

Hi there, There is no live infection present in or on the test that can cause harm. The self test is completely safe to use wherever and whenever you want. Hope this helps. Kindest regards, Becky

Hi . This is highly unusual due to our manufacturing process. There are no lose lancets in the production area and the pouches are produced in a different warehouse of ours which are then sent to our production line. For your own piece of mind it is not possible to get HIV from our lancets as they are single use so once they have been clicked cannot be reused. Could you please discuss this with me via email (fbard@biosure.co.uk) so that I can look into this with more information. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd

I took a biosure test in south Africa, the lanchet was loose in the packet and not inside with the plastee, I used it, but now I am scared that I got aids from using the lanchet. Please help. How safe is the lanchet and can anyone else use it and put it back to be used again? Do they import straight from UK to SA?

Hi questions Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately if you have opened the pouch we cannot accept a refund. The pouch is a critical part of the product security so once opened we cannot accept a product return I'm afraid. I'm really sorry that we can't help you on this occasion. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited

Hi, is my product returnable if I have opened the pouch on the packet? If its unused but I have opened the product up. Will I get a refund if I send it back to you?

Dear no To answer your first question, the BioSure HIV Self Test detects both major types of HIV (HIV-1 and HIV-2) and all of the subtypes of the virus, including the subtype O variant of HIV-1. With regard to the lancet, it is supplied to you in sterile condition and can ONLY be used once. The lancing mechanism is broken once used so you will be the ONLY person to ever use the lancet. More than 2 billion of them have been used worldwide, with no recorded safety problem. I hope that this helps to put your mind at rest. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
