Negative Result

Hi had a couple of unsafe sex episode about five to six years ago I’m male with two separate females unprotected intercourse and oral on both occasions have taken two,bio sure tests three weeks abart both were negative I keep reading on this forum about a false negative could this be happening or does it just apply to someone who took the test before the three months thanks .

Hi Interested, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately no test is perfect and can never be 100% accurate. However, the chances of a false negative after 3 months is about 2 in 1,000. If you have done 2 tests that changes to about 1 in 250,000. I would consider a single negative test done after 3 months of possible exposure as conclusive. I hope that this helps.
