I did early detection RNA PCR

I did early detection RNA PCR 12 days after possible exposure. Was negative. I have no symptoms. Is it reliable?

I am on way to take an antibody test. Now 8 weeks

Thanks
JJ

Hi JJ, Unfortunately I am unable to comment on the accuracy of HIV PCR tests. I would recommend to get in contact with the clinic who provided the test and ask them about the window period. Additionally, the antibody HIV tests have a window period - so I would say that at 8 weeks any result is likely to be inconclusive so you would either need to wait until after the window period or would need to retest at a later date for a conclusive result. Kindest regards, Becky, BioSURE UK LTD
