Hi Friend Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, that is correct. 1 month after infection, approximately 90% of people will have created enough of the right kind of antibodies for the BioSURE HIV to detect accurately. I hope that this helps but if you require any other information, please get in touch again. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited

Are you saying that a negative test 1 month after exposure with a biosure test will pick up the infection 90% of the time?

Hi Dave3 Thanks for getting in touch. It's great that you have taken the option of testing early. A negative result is always encouraging. However, 1 month after infection only around 90% of people will have created the antibodies required to detect the virus, so you shouldn't absolutely rely on the result. We would recommend testing again 3 months post possible infection just to be certain. I hope that this answers your question. If you require any other information please don't hesitate to contact us again. Kind regards Gary Carpenter BioSure (UK) Limited
