Get tested

I learnt of my HIV status after donating blood. I never thought that as a straight male I could be affected by HIV.

I have learnt that HIV does not discriminate and we should all get tested regularly, whether male, female, trans, and straight gay or bi.

Now I know my status I am on treatment and have an undetectable viral load. Had my HIV status been unknown I could have put sexual partners at risk.

I know that being heterosexual and positive is not something that is a common perception, but we are all at risk.
