B12 Vitamin Supplement

Hi my last possible exposure to HIV was 10yrs ago. I’ve done 2 Biosure tests in the last 2 weeks and were negative. I’m currently taking Vitamin B12 supplements and was wondering if these could’ve affected the result? I’ve got another test so wanted to check if I should stop taking the supplements before carrying it out.

Hi Worrier123. There are really only two things that can affect the result of a BioSure HIV self test. The first being on anti-retroviral treatment for HIV and the other would be if you have been vaccinated against HIV. Vitamin tablets would not affect your result. Thank you for contacting BioSure.
