Advice please

I had a high risk encounter 18 months ago. I’ve had muscle pains, twitching, thrush and numerous skin issues since. My partners has had similar symptoms and also her periods have become irregular- she has no knowledge of the incident. I’ve taken your test at 12 months and last week at 18 months.Although I”ve had all these symptoms can I rule out hiv as your test were negative on both occasions.

Hi Advice required, you can rule out HIV being the cause of these symptoms. Given the time frame you have described it is virtually impossible to have 2 false negative results. I know it is easier said than done however I would recommend moving on from the incident, if you haven't already then I would also recommend going to a GUM clinic to get a full sexual health screening to rule out any other STI's. I hope this helps. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
