control and test lines

Hi,

I took the Biosure test 8 weeks after possible exposure.

I’m just wondering, are the control and test lines always separate as in spaced out like the example image given in the kit?

Thanks

Hi 777bex, From your description, it sounds as though the control line is smudged. This is nothing to worry about, it is simply due to the nature of the test. As long as there is no line where the test line would be then your result is accurate and negative. If you happened to take a picture of your test at the time, you are welcome to send it over to our WhatsApp number on 07763 489170 and I can take a look at this for you. A negative result at 8 weeks is a good indication of your status, just remember to retest in another 4 weeks for a conclusive result! Kindest regards, Becky

Hello I tested after 8 weeks using the Bio HIV test kit and two lines appeared on the negative line. One dark line and one faint line just under the dark no space in between. What does this mean?

Hi unsure guy, Yes the control line and test line are positioned as shown on the IFU provided in the test kit. If the only line visible was the control line then your result is negative. Since you have tested 8 weeks since your last possible exposure, your negative result is a good indication of your status but please be sure to retest at 12 weeks for a conclusive result. I hope this helps, kind regards Becky.
