I'm worried I have sex with one girl from my University

I’m worried I have sex with one girl from my University, I’m really stressed up that I have HIV having unprotected sex and with that particular girl. I have taken test 4 weeks after the exposure and then 7 weeks after the exposure, they all turned to be negative, but I’m still having some symptoms like joint pain, sore throat, fever and mouth ulcer. Does it mean that I have HIV after taken the last result from 7 weeks after exposure?

Hi Putu, you have done the right thing by testing and a negative result is always encouraging. The symptoms you have described could be due to a number of things (not only HIV). If you have used the BioSURE HIV self test this is only deemed conclusive 12 weeks post possible exposure due to individuals rate of seroconversion. I would recommend re testing at 12 weeks or alternatively visiting a GUM clinic to get your negative test confirmed. I hope this helps but please don't hesitate to contact me further.
