Test on its side
4 years i did a combat sport with some who i later found out was hiv positive. I have donated blood 3 times since then and didnt hear any think from them ans i know they test for hiv. But my anxiety g9t bad and i discovered the biosure hiv home testing kit. I did it today. I mis read the instructions and lay it flat. 5hen i looked after 15 mins there is some blood on the rhs of the test stick and the bit where the positive line is darker. The left side of stick is clear. Help what does this mean?!

Sorry I dont have it anymore. I was just interested in Tombob and their outcome as it sounded odd. I sent the picture a couple of times and both times confirmed as negative. I have since done 3 more tests which were clear negatives I'm presuming it's virtually impossible for all of these to be false negatives.
Thanks

Hi CLOCKWATCHER. Laying the test down would not affect the result and a positive line can only appear in an exact place. I am aware that you have sent a picture and had your test confirmed as negative by one of the team. If you wish to send a picture to myself I will be happy to check this again however we all understand the product and would be able to see a clear result. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd

Hi Tombob. Participating in a combat sport with someone who is HIV positive does not put you at risk, you cannot get HIV from touching someone. It is also a good sign that they knew their status. I am unable to comment on your test until i see a photo, please feel free to send me a photo either via Whatsapp (07763489170) or via email (fbard@biosure.co.uk). I look forward to helping you.
