Is this normal?

Hello  – Is it normal for a test to run almost immediately upon placing it into the pot?  It was obvious I didn’t need to check the test at 3 mins and My control line and test seemed to appear a lot sooner then 15 mins

Thanks

Hi Kevin. This is completely normal, our tests generally run after 2-3 minutes. As long as you have recieved a control line then your test has worked, this is there to ensure the user knows that their test has worked. The reason for a 15 minute read time is due to a number of things; • The test may run slightly slower in the cold • The test may run slightly slower if less blood is used • A positive line may not appear visible until this time due to discoloration of the background, after the 15 minutes this will be completely clear. I hope this has helped put your mind at rest and thank you for choosing BioSure. Kindest regards Francesca Bard, BioSure (UK) Ltd
